On April 15th at 20:05, Station 49 was alerted to the 3000 block of Benson Mill Road (box area 49-02) at Falls Road for a reported Large Brush/Wild Fire. Tanker Support 491 and Brush 492 arrived on scene reporting a 50' by 20' area of brush on fire, spreading into the trees and towards the road. On April 15th at 15:39, Station 49 was alerted for a tree down on wires. Tanker Support Unit 491 responded with two personnel to the cross streets of Falls Road and Mount Zion Road in a 49-16 box. Yesterday March 26, At 12:16 hrs a woods fire was dispatched in a 39-06 box. Units arrived to find Approx 5 acres on fire with a house and shed involved the first arriving units requested a firebox assignment. Approx 1 hr into the incident Sta 49 was alerted for the brush truck to respond. B492 responded to assist. All units operated for approx 4 hrs before returning to service.... (Full Story & Photos)
